One of the more challenging and dangerous methods of free climbing is a form called free soloing. Here, the climber attempts to scale a rock formation or even a skyscraper without ropes, harnesses or other protective equipment.

This method frees the climber of the constraints of extraneous gear, enabling them to move more quickly, and for some, to enjoy the adrenaline rush of ascending completely on their own.

On the down side, with no support of others and no safety equipment in place, minor mistakes or a slight change in climbing conditions can be deadly.

 

We see many similarities when thinking about organizations trying to take on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) on their own.
