Rosetta Stone Subscription Required With Your New Website

There are certainly many talented people throughout the world. Some of them fall into the realm of web designers and programmers.

We hear from them in two very different ways. Often we receive phone calls from overseas developers looking for partnership deals to provide programming or SEO (Search Engine Optimization) services. We politely decline, preferring to do our own work in house.

The other side of offshore interactions takes place when we talk with potential clients. Especially today, businesses can be very cost conscious, looking to get the best deal possible, no matter what technology investment they are considering. When they begin sharing the prices quoted from these offshore providers, we advise them to look beyond the initial quoted price, and think about the hidden costs of translating language, culture and the sense of doing business domestically. We even point them in the direction of some of our competitors: we would rather have them work with someone locally than attempt to negotiate their site development from afar.

Website development is not necessarily complex – at least that’s our approach – but sourcing technology from other parts of the world invariably adds an unnecessary layer of complication and added cost, that may not be transparent at the outset…
